Supply Chain Buyer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: El Segundo, United States. Applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected persons.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own the procurement cycle for hardware, raw materials, fabricated parts, and consumables, from sourcing and quoting through purchase order issuance.
• Track open orders, update lead times, expedite at-risk parts, and resolve purchase order discrepancies through closure.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data, including purchase orders, lead times, pricing, vendor records, and part statuses.
• Plan material needs from BOMs, work orders, and engineering requirements for active and upcoming builds.
• Track parts through receiving, inspection, kitting, and build completion while surfacing shortages and schedule risks.
• Identify, vet, onboard, and develop suppliers across machining, injection molding, PCBAs, electronics, testing, assembly, coatings, and related processes.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing purchase orders and open-order tracking in an ERP or MRP system.
• Ability to work from BOMs and engineering drawings and translate requirements into procurement actions.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills for managing shifting orders and build requirements.
• Proactive communication with suppliers, engineers, technicians, receiving, and production.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR. Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits.

Nice to have

• Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with supplier qualification, quality documentation, Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, and AS9100.
• Experience sourcing across machining, PCBAs, electronics, testing, coatings, or nondestructive testing.
