Location: Mahwah, New Jersey, United States; hybrid role with on-site presence and frequent travel to client locations in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Salary: $37β$40 per hour

What you will do
- Research client HR questions and prepare draft recommendations, responses, and consulting work products.
- Support engagements involving policies, employee handbooks, job descriptions, performance management, compensation, employee relations, leave administration, and HR compliance.
- Review and administer client payroll, HRIS, timekeeping, benefits, onboarding, leave, and performance-management processes.
- Evaluate HR technologies and workflows, identify data-quality or process gaps, and support process improvement.
- Assist with HRIS and payroll implementations through data collection, audits, testing, documentation, communication, and project coordination.
- Prepare reports, presentations, training materials, employee communications, templates, trackers, and HR metrics while escalating sensitive matters to senior specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in human resources, payroll, HR operations, HR technology, or a related professional environment is preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of HR principles and federal and state employment regulations, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, NLRA, OSHA, ACA, ERISA/COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal, organizational, and project-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information, manage competing priorities, communicate sensitive topics professionally, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort with on-site work in Mahwah and frequent travel to client locations in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania region is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with payroll, HRIS, timekeeping, benefits administration, applicant tracking, leave-management, or performance-management platforms.
- Experience with data reporting, advanced Excel functionality, workflow tools, or emerging HR technologies.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, aPHR, payroll certification, HRIS certification, or progress toward a relevant credential.
