What you will do

• Own paint and thermal protection system material application from design release through installation on the Terran R launch vehicle.
• Design efficient, high-quality build flows that can scale with production demand.
• Drive first builds and improve product lines through design integration, assembly sequencing, mBOM development, work-order creation, and specification authoring.
• Support shop-floor and production personnel by resolving manufacturing issues and providing feedback to engineering.
• Monitor large-scale part movements and provide clear direction to maintain safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Build Reliability, Supply Chain, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline, with 1–2 years of related progressive experience.
• Working experience with 2D and 3D design or drafting according to ASME Y14.5M; NX is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with engineering and manufacturing groups on process constraints and manufacturability.
• Experience with at least two relevant processes, including adhesive bonding, soft goods manufacturing, coating, machining, mechanical fastening and torquing, trim and drill, composites manufacturing, critical lifting, tool design and fabrication, or work-center development.
• Ability to perform trade studies using first principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Self-motivation and the ability to prioritize and execute work in a high-pressure environment.

Nice to have

• Successful new product introduction experience with aerospace hardware or processes.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and quality management systems.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
