Employee Benefits Consultant

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid role with on-site presence expected

What you will do

• Manage assigned client relationships and serve as the primary contact for health and benefits inquiries.
• Research benefits trends, regulations, vendor offerings, and market benchmarks to develop strategic recommendations.
• Analyze benefit plans, claims data, renewal proposals, utilization, cost trends, and ROI.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendor partners, internal teams, and client stakeholders to implement initiatives.
• Build presentations, proposals, reports, and client education materials that explain complex benefits information clearly.
• Lead benefit plan renewals, negotiate terms, and guide clients through plan design decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting or account management.
• In-depth knowledge of health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental, voluntary, and work-life benefits.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, and state insurance laws.
• Active Life & Health license is strongly preferred.
• Comfort with on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Nice to have

• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification.
• Health Insurance Associate (HIA) certification.
