Senior Composites Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite, first shift, Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM PT

Salary: $33.20–$49.80 USD per hour

What you will do

• Perform layup of flight and development composite hardware.
• Work with carbon and fiberglass prepregs, honeycomb cores, adhesives, vacuum bagging films, and related consumables.
• Use laser projection systems, manufacturing execution software, calibrated tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Operate in controlled clean environments and maintain high standards for safety and shop cleanliness.
• Collaborate with production teams and manufacturing engineers to develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of composites manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, or a related industry.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication with engineering and production teams.
• Ability to set up and operate calibrated tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience using Manufacturing Execution System software for labor charging, buyoffs, and data collection.

Nice to have

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• Experience partnering with manufacturing engineering and quality teams to build flight hardware.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations at remote or downstream work sites.
