Location: On-site in Huntington Beach, California, United States. Third shift runs from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. ITAR requirements apply: applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
Salary: $26β$40 per hour, plus a $1.50-per-hour shift differential for the entire third shift.

What you will do
- Prepare, finish, seal, release, and maintain composite molds and tooling.
- Lay up composite parts using templates, dimensions, and projection systems, including release film, peel ply, breather, and thermocouples.
- Build and install vacuum bags, perform leak tests, and run assigned cure cycles.
- Demold, trim, bond, and finish cured parts and assemblies.
- Document material usage, freeze/thaw status, cure data, and production activities in internal systems.
- Provide feedback to engineering and help improve manufacturing processes and part designs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a technician in prepreg composites manufacturing.
- Knowledge of intensifiers and caul plates, adhesive films, core splicing, hard points, ply drops, and debulking.
- Ability to read and interpret layup books and process-controlling work instructions.
- Proficiency with calipers, scales, tape measures, torque wrenches, hand drills, and other measuring and assembly tools.
- Ability to identify and communicate production problems, work effectively in a team, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work hands-on in a production environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace or motorsport.
- Experience with in-autoclave and out-of-autoclave manufacturing.
- Experience across ply cutting, mold maintenance, lamination, bagging, curing, demolding, trimming, or finishing.
- Experience with vacuum infusion, compression or hot-press molding, trapped rubber molding, or wet layup.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when required by customer timelines.
