Composite Technician IV-2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Cedar Park.

What you will do

• Manufacture aerospace-grade composite primary structures, tanks, and secondary structures from raw fiber through delivery to the integration line.
• Cut carbon fiber to tight tolerances and perform bonding preparation, adhesive application, and hand lamination using carbon, glass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and foam or metallic cores.
• Run vacuum-bag cure cycles, including instrumentation, debulking, oven monitoring, and curing materials to manufacturer specifications.
• Handle materials in accordance with AS9100 requirements and identify scarf-back plies during scarfing operations.
• Support concept-of-operations and tooling-design meetings, collaborate with engineering on product and process improvements, and drive fabrication efficiency projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of composite manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Advanced expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build flight-critical or high-complexity hardware.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous craftsmanship, and experience with pneumatic tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
• Experience in an AS9100 or similarly regulated environment, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members. Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
