Composite Technician IV (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Cedar Park

What you will do

• Manufacture aerospace-grade composite primary structures, tanks, and secondary structures for rocket production and development.
• Cut carbon materials, perform bonding preparation, and hand-laminate carbon, glass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and core materials.
• Run complete vacuum-bag cure cycles, including instrumentation, debulking, oven monitoring, and curing to manufacturer specifications.
• Handle materials according to AS9100 requirements and identify scarf-back plies during composite fabrication.
• Support concept-of-operations and tooling design meetings for future products.
• Improve fabrication operations, product designs, and production efficiency in collaboration with engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of composite manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Advanced expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build flight-critical or high-complexity hardware.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous craftsmanship, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with pneumatic tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
• Experience in an AS9100 or similarly regulated environment and ability to mentor junior team members.
