Commercial Lines Claims Consultant

What you will do

• Answer client questions about claims, explain claims processes, and follow up through resolution.
• Gather claim information and report claims to the appropriate insurance carriers and lines of business.
• Enter claims into Applied Epic, generate Acord notices, and provide clients with carrier and adjuster details.
• Manage assigned claims, monitor open claims, update records, and maintain detailed claim file notes.
• Advocate for clients during reserving and claim evaluations and coordinate carrier requests with insureds.
• Coordinate and participate in claim reviews, prepare loss summary reports, and communicate issues to producers and managers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in claims handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Property and Casualty Insurance License preferred.
• Prior experience with Applied Epic is a plus.
• Comfort with an on-site presence is required to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
