Claims Advocate

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Investigate new general liability claims and identify potentially liable third parties.
• Initiate, document, and manage claims from identification through final resolution.
• Interpret policy language and assess coverage, liability, and the financial and legal merits of losses.
• Negotiate settlements and process claim denials in accordance with policy terms.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal partners, site experts, vendors, attorneys, and investigators.
• Maintain documentation in line with claim-handling best practices and legal requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience handling commercial claims, commercial property claims, and/or commercial general liability cases.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and liability insurance policies.
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal subrogation laws.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Have or be able to promptly obtain all appropriate Independent Adjuster licenses.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
