What you will do

• Build and lead the high-voltage battery test engineering team.
• Define test strategies and establish laboratory, test, safety, and procedural infrastructure.
• Oversee pack- and cell-level performance, durability, abuse, electrical, and destructive testing.
• Manage battery bring-up, sensor instrumentation, test fixtures, test setups, and data acquisition systems.
• Lead structured failure analysis and convert test results into feedback for design teams.
• Hire and develop electrical, performance, abuse, destructive testing, and cell-science specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, or a related engineering field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with battery testing, validation, or energetics system evaluation.
• Strong understanding of battery physics, safety behavior, failure modes, and high-voltage system fundamentals.
• Experience with battery test equipment, cyclers, chambers, DAQ systems, instrumentation, and test fixture design.
• At least 3 years of experience leading test engineering teams and developing engineers’ technical and leadership skills.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to oversee high-energy, high-consequence test operations.
