Lead Engineer, Integration and Test

Location: Playa Vista, California; in-person five days per week

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 annual salary, based on experience, plus equity and performance-based bonuses.

hirify.global is an orbital logistics company building reusable Earth-return vehicles for in-space manufacturing, on-orbit warehousing, global delivery, defense, commercial cargo, research, and critical aid missions.

What you will do

• Own the integration and test strategy for return vehicles from component-level bring-up through full-vehicle qualification.
• Lead a small team of engineers and technicians executing assembly, integration, and test activities.
• Develop and execute functional and environmental test procedures, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and acoustic campaigns.
• Lead anomaly investigation and resolution during integration and testing.
• Coordinate with structures, avionics, propulsion, and software teams to resolve cross-discipline issues.
• Maintain test documentation, support flight readiness reviews, and build scalable AI&T processes and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in spacecraft or launch vehicle integration and testing.
• Experience leading test campaigns from planning through flight readiness.
• Experience developing test procedures, resolving anomalies, and preparing test reports.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians while working hands-on in a machine shop or laboratory environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

• Experience with reusable or return vehicles.
• Experience with proof and acceptance test campaigns.
• Program or test management experience.
