Staff Global Supply Manager, Machining (Aerospace)

Salary: $141,000–$211,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and supplier management for custom machined components and major vehicle structures.
• Develop supply chain strategies, supplier selections, long-term agreements, and capacity plans supporting Terran R build schedules.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, and other stakeholders to improve manufacturability and align procurement with program milestones.
• Manage supplier risk, contract negotiations, milestone tracking, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Mentor team members and build expertise in precision machining processes and supplier development.
• Act as a thought leader for machining commodities and improve sourcing processes, supplier health, and program readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
• Experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities.
• Experience negotiating contracts, managing milestone-based agreements, supplier risk, cost modeling, and capacity planning.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, 5-axis milling, turning, precision grinding, EDM, tight-tolerance fabrication, material specifications, surface treatments, and inspection requirements.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards, supplier qualification, audits, KPIs, recovery plans, and NPD/NPI supply chain processes.

• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
