Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD annually

Develops launch vehicles and manufacturing systems, including the Terran R rocket, for delivering customer payloads to orbit.

What you will do

  • Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams from development through prototype and flight builds.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, production, and external vendor teams to improve build outcomes.
  • Support primary-structure assembly work centers on the shop floor, remove barriers, and keep production moving.
  • Lead process improvements across multiple work centers using feedback and lessons from the first Terran R build.
  • Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity manufacturing processes.
  • Standardize manufacturing processes across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aeronautical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of progressive, related experience.
  • Experience supporting complex assembly builds and making regular risk-based decisions to disposition build issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with engineering and manufacturing teams on process constraints and manufacturability improvements.
  • Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement, factory design, fastening and joining, and machining.
  • Expert knowledge of drilling and trim operations, manufacturing processes, tools, inspection methods, and GD&T.

Nice to have

  • Experience with forming, welding, drilling, trimming, and fastening operations for aerospace products.
  • Successful introduction of an aerospace hardware system into manufacturing, testing, and production.
  • Project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
