Senior Engineer, VBAT Software Test Automation (Hiring Multiple Levels)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas or San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $95,000–$200,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Build software that uses simulation, avionics, and custom hardware to automate testing with GNC and embedded engineering teams.
• Define and automate system-level test cases for embedded and GNC software, enabling continuous validation.
• Implement software interfaces and drivers for simulation environments, hardware devices, and test equipment.
• Create real-world behavior scenarios, failure injection, and hardware manipulation workflows.
• Prototype testing solutions, then harden them into scalable products for continuous release testing.
• Support release test planning and execution before flight-test events and major product milestones.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering, or relevant industry experience with a master's or PhD.
• Strong C++ or Python skills and basic proficiency in the other language.
• Familiarity with Git and build or packaging systems such as CMake and Poetry.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas or San Diego.
• Offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience building automated test solutions.
• Experience developing automated test solutions for aircraft or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience with automated testing, bare-metal firmware development, or simulation tooling.
