Robot SW Test Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full robot-stack regression suites covering happy paths, fault injection, and recovery scenarios.
• Build automated integration tests and logged-data replay scenarios across software modules, hardware-in-the-loop systems, and software/hardware interfaces.
• Manage test cases and traceability, define pass/fail criteria, and triage failures with robotics software, embedded, and HIL owners.
• Integrate regression testing into CI to validate software and full-robot releases before fleet rollout.
• Partner with Systems Integration and deployment teams to expand HIL coverage and prevent field-reported regressions.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, robotics or embedded validation, or test automation; senior experience is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Rust or C++.
• Experience building automated test frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 or custom robotics control frameworks, fault injection, and logged-data replay.
• Strong requirements traceability and defect-management skills.
