Location: Must be based in Westminster, CO. Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee) and hold or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.

Salary: $107,000–$179,000 annually.

What you will do

  • Serve as the technical interface between imaging payloads and spacecraft buses to ensure joint performance optimization.
  • Lead system-level trade studies to evaluate design alternatives and technology insertion opportunities.
  • Assess and troubleshoot payload and bus designs at the circuit level.
  • Support radiation analysis and guide EEE parts selection for space environments.
  • Perform signal and power integrity analyses in adherence to space-qualified standards.
  • Contribute to design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and maintain electrical interface control documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export control laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with space-based optical remote sensing payloads, specifically LEO missions.
  • Proven experience in electrical systems engineering for space platforms and radiation effects.
  • Ability to analyze schematics, block diagrams, and PCB layouts.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with modeling tools like MATLAB, STK, SPICE, or HFSS.
  • Familiarity with imaging payloads and performance metrics (SNR, MTF).
  • Knowledge of space industry standards (NASA GSFC, JPL, ECSS, MIL-STD).
