Staff Engineer, Growth (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California, USA; hybrid with four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office

Salary: $223,000–$308,000 base annual salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of high-impact, member-facing systems across the Growth stack.
• Set the technical vision for scalable, high-traffic systems that meet reliability and latency standards.
• Build experimentation systems and practices that support rapid testing, learning, and iteration.
• Solve systemic challenges in performance, availability, and conversion-critical reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Data to shape product direction and technical feasibility.
• Mentor senior engineers, improve engineering practices, and represent hirify.global through recruiting, open source, talks, or community engagement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of system design, service boundaries, and product-engineering tradeoffs in high-traffic consumer systems.
• Experience driving measurable business and engineering impact, ideally in growth, conversion, activation, or consumer products.
• Experience with experimentation, including test design, instrumentation, analysis, and iteration.
• Ability to influence technical and product direction across teams and organizations through influence rather than authority.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
