What you will do

• Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams through prototype and flight builds.
• Support primary structure assembly work centers on the shop floor, remove production barriers, and keep manufacturing moving.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, production, and external vendor teams.
• Drive process improvements across multiple work centers using feedback from the first Terran R build.
• Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity manufacturing processes.
• Standardize processes across the manufacturing team and help develop scalable factory systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aeronautical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive, related experience.
• Strong experience supporting complex assembly builds and making risk-based decisions to resolve build issues.
• Ability to work across engineering and manufacturing groups to identify process constraints and improve manufacturability.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement, factory design, fastening and joining, and machining.
• Expert knowledge of drilling and trim operations, manufacturing processes, tools, inspection methods, and GD&T.

Nice to have

• Experience with forming, welding, drilling, trimming, and fastening operations for aerospace products.
• Successful new product introduction of an aerospace hardware system into manufacturing, testing, and production.
• Project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
