Company

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense aviation company developing high-speed aircraft through rapid iterative hardware prototyping for the Department of War and its allies.

What you will do

  • Own structural hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery, including primary airframe structures, wings, tails, and control surfaces.
  • Provide design feedback on manufacturability, assembly, testing, and transport of complex flight structures.
  • Build and maintain assembly roadmaps, align design, manufacturing, test, and supply chain functions, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Develop build concepts of operations, work instructions, standard procedures, and process documentation.
  • Support first-article and development builds hands-on with technicians, validating tooling, processes, and design intent.
  • Drive tooling, capital equipment, make-versus-buy, ERP/MES, and continuous-improvement initiatives for scalable manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in aerospace or high-performance structural assembly, integration, or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace assembly best practices and structural integration principles.
  • Experience or exposure to tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, drilling and fastening, and leak or pressurization checks.
  • Proficiency in CAD, GD&T, and first-principles engineering analysis.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control regulations or otherwise be eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with new product introduction or prototype development in aerospace or defense.
  • Experience authoring and executing work instructions for complex first-time structural builds.
  • Familiarity with critical lift and rigging, structural proof and load testing, or hazardous operations.
  • Experience with metallic and composite assemblies, including welding, bonding, or bolting.
  • Background in Lean manufacturing, tooling development, or supplier management.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on work in the integration area around heavy equipment; ability to lift up to 25 lbs is required.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required for key program milestones.
  • Employer-paid healthcare and pet insurance.
  • Stock options, 401(k), potential year-end bonuses, paid parental leave, federal holidays, and PTO.
  • Weekly paid office lunches and stocked breakrooms.
