Principal Engineer (CMP Module)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end CMP equipment performance, including uptime, reliability, availability, yield impact, and cost of ownership.
• Lead the installation, qualification, and production ramp of new CMP equipment, technology nodes, and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Drive equipment capability improvements, reliability enhancements, continuous improvement programs, and equipment roadmap planning.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, and address high-impact manufacturing events.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies using SPC, FDC, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, facilities, quality, and supplier teams while mentoring junior engineers and serving as the primary technical SME.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of semiconductor equipment engineering experience, preferably in CMP.
• Strong expertise in CMP equipment hardware, maintenance strategies, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with equipment installation, qualification, production ramp, and supplier management.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, fault detection and classification, and predictive maintenance.
• Experience leading complex problem-solving using root cause analysis, 8D, or equivalent methodologies, together with strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
