Asia Quality Engineering Director (Semiconductor)

Location: Based in Singapore, with frequent travel within Asia and periodic travel to global headquarters and manufacturing support teams.

What you will do

• Develop and execute regional quality strategies for wafer fabrication, assembly, packaging, and test value chains.
• Lead quality assurance processes, qualification, change management, audits, corrective action plans, CAPA closure, and continuous improvement across Asia manufacturing sites.
• Act as the quality liaison for strategic Asian customers and lead responses to quality excursions and reliability failures.
• Apply Six Sigma, 8D, RCA, and cross-functional containment and prevention plans to resolve customer-facing quality issues.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, using data analytics to reduce defect density and improve customer satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a regional Quality organization across multiple Asian locations.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of Quality experience in the semiconductor industry, including 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Working knowledge of front-end wafer fabrication and/or back-end assembly, packaging, and test processes.
• Expertise in 8D, RCA, CAPA/SCAR, FMEA, SPC/SQC, DOE, Six Sigma, and statistical trend analysis.
• Experience leading containment, failure analysis, root-cause confirmation, and permanent corrective actions in customer-facing situations.
• Cross-cultural leadership experience across multiple Asian locations and matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science; a Master’s degree is highly desired. Excellent verbal and written English is required.

• Proficiency in additional regional languages, including Mandarin.
