hirify.global develops and manufactures rockets, including the Terran R launch vehicle, and builds the manufacturing systems required for scaled launch operations.

What you will do

  • Develop and launch a bending and welding work cell for the Aeon R and Terran R programs.
  • Drive first-build and test activities through design-for-manufacturability guidance, assembly sequencing, mBOM development, work orders, and specifications.
  • Design and implement tooling solutions that increase production output and reduce operational complexity.
  • Create standard practices, troubleshooting guides, repair procedures, and manufacturing planning documents.
  • Optimize production systems to reduce costs and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vehicle design, test, manufacturing, and production teams while owning processes from concept through implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment, including internship experience.
  • Experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel.
  • Experience owning a broad scope of work and authoring work instructions or test procedures for mechanical or fluid assemblies.
  • Ability to define processes from scratch and roll them out through clear communication to diverse teams.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of orbital tube welding, tube bending, TIG welding, metallic fabrication, assembly procedures, and tooling design.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and drafting principles.
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of rocket subsystems, including structures, mechanisms, high-pressure gas systems, or avionics.
