Company

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense aviation company developing high-speed aircraft through rapid iterative hardware prototyping and advanced manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Develop and own end-to-end manufacturing processes for precision valves, fluid components, actuators, manifolds, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Drive design for manufacturability from concept through production release in collaboration with design and development engineers.
  • Define and optimize processes for laser welding, precision machining, assembly, and component inspection.
  • Lead first-article builds, troubleshoot non-conformances, and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Plan and schedule sheet metal shop operations while supporting production technicians and specialists.
  • Design and procure tooling, fixtures, and test equipment; establish process documentation and data-driven process control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in precision component manufacturing, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-performance hardware.
  • Experience developing, validating, and scaling manufacturing processes from concept through production.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and material behavior during manufacturing.
  • Hands-on lab or production experience in process development, fixture design, or failure analysis.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with laser, electron-beam, resistance, or friction-stir welding.
  • Knowledge of aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel aerospace materials.
  • Experience with valves, fluid components, actuators, manifolds, or electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA, SPC, Lean manufacturing, and transitioning R&D hardware into production.
  • CAD/CAM proficiency with NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fast-paced startup environment with broad ownership and rapid hardware iteration.
  • 100% employer-paid healthcare and pet insurance.
  • Competitive pay, equity, stock options, 401(k), and potential year-end bonuses.
  • Paid parental leave, 12 federal holidays, and PTO programs.
