HR Business Partner (Manufacturing)

Location: Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $104,000–$145,500 USD annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Partner with managers and leaders, particularly across production and manufacturing, on performance management, team effectiveness, employee development, and organizational design.
• Coach managers through leadership topics, feedback conversations, performance improvement plans, promotions, compensation discussions, and terminations.
• Support organizational design, restructures, role changes, change management initiatives, and related communications.
• Build, drive, and execute People programs, training initiatives, policy rollouts, documentation, and communications.
• Lead and support employee relations matters and investigations, partnering with Legal and leadership on sensitive cases.
• Help scale practical and effective People processes as the organization grows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an HRBP or People Partner role supporting production, manufacturing, supply chain, or hardware teams.
• Deep understanding of employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance.
• Experience advising managers in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, project management, documentation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and complex people matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Experience working in global and multicultural environments, with a willingness to operate strategically and tactically.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, hardware, manufacturing, or other highly operational environments.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
