HR Business Partner (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, California, United States

Salary: $185,000–$240,000 per year in California, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Partner with US leaders and managers on workforce planning, employee relations, performance, engagement, and organizational change.
• Provide practical guidance on federal, state, and local employment legislation, with particular emphasis on California law.
• Coach managers on performance management, feedback, employee development, and difficult conversations.
• Implement and improve scalable US HR policies, processes, and programs aligned with global standards.
• Partner with the People team on compensation, benefits, equity, employee communications, and engagement initiatives.
• Work with Payroll, Finance, and Legal to maintain compliant employment practices and represent the US perspective in global People initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state US employment law, including California employment law.
• Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong employee relations, manager coaching, judgment, discretion, and communication skills.
• Experience building processes in an early-stage company and balancing operational delivery with strategic business partnering.
• Familiarity with US compensation, benefits, and equity programs, ideally in an AI, cloud infrastructure, technology, or engineering-led organization.
