Sr. Cost Accountant/Analyst (Manufacturing)

Location: United States; onsite position in Melrose Park, Illinois

DRC Heat Transfer designs and manufactures custom heat transfer and cooling solutions for power generators used in data centers and is a subsidiary of hirify.global PLC.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze cost reports covering materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Review bills of materials, cost centers, inventory valuation, and product cost structures.
• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to improve costing accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Conduct variance analysis, reconcile cost discrepancies, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support physical inventory counts, budgeting, forecasting, and month- and year-end close activities.
• Maintain cost accounting systems, support pricing and profitability decisions, and provide documentation for audits.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Experience with bills of materials, inventory controls, cost centers, and product cost structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and prior experience with an ERP system.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP as applied to inventory and manufacturing accounting, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
