Medical Assistant - Kansas City, MO

Location: Onsite at 2401 Grand Boulevard, Suite 100, Kansas City, Missouri 64108

Salary: $21.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health data, take vital signs, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Support patient scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, documentation, referrals, and coordination of specialist visits.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients according to provider instructions.
• Partner with the care team on patient care plans and outreach initiatives that improve engagement and close care gaps.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
