What you will do

• Lead health and safety strategy across distribution centres and associated transport operating locations.
• Advise site leadership and operational managers while promoting a safety-first culture.
• Maintain policies, procedures, risk assessments, documentation, and compliance systems.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee transport and fleet safety, including vehicle movements, loading and unloading, yard management, and operator licence compliance.
• Develop training programmes, monitor safety metrics, report performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven health and safety management experience in logistics, warehousing, or transport operations.
• Experience managing multi-site operations, audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and training skills.
• NEBOSH General Certificate required as a minimum.

Nice to have

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• IOSH membership at TechIOSH, GradIOSH, or higher level.
