What you will do
- Deliver the Group Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across the Tamworth fulfilment operation.
- Act as the site subject matter expert and advise, coach and challenge operational leaders.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and behavioural safety observations.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Lead HSE reviews for operational changes, projects, equipment and automation initiatives.
- Investigate incidents, analyse performance data, deliver training and drive corrective and preventative actions.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a warehouse, fulfilment, logistics or distribution environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Experience with risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, operational procedures, audits, inspections and compliance.
- Experience investigating incidents and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching, communication, analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Nice to have
- Chartered IOSH membership or progress towards Chartered status.
- Environmental management qualifications or experience with automation, machinery and engineering risk assessments.
- Experience in e-commerce, fulfilment or automated warehouse environments.
