What you will do

  • Design and analyze clean-sheet pressure components for launch vehicle fluid and propulsion systems.
  • Perform detailed fluid, thermal, and structural analysis of piece parts and assemblies.
  • Plan and execute development and qualification testing for internally developed components.
  • Conduct trade studies to develop architectures and designs that satisfy system requirements.
  • Implement hardware into Terran R vehicle fluid systems and support reliable, efficient operation.
  • Collaborate across design, manufacturing, production, testing, and flight teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing fluid-system components.
  • Applied knowledge of thermodynamics, structures, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Experience with CFD and FEA tools, including ANSYS.
  • Experience with a commercial CAD package such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
  • Experience designing and qualifying fluid-system pressure components for aerospace applications, including fittings, seals, valves, or regulators.

Nice to have

  • Experience using internal-flow CFD to assess component performance.
