  • Maintain testbed power, network, and laboratory infrastructure and respond to system outages.
  • Create architecture diagrams, build records, checkout procedures, and coordinate inventory and module builds with supply chain and production.

Requirements

  • At least two years of hands-on experience building, testing, or debugging hardware in complex electromechanical systems; internships and substantial project work are considered.
  • Background in electrical engineering, embedded software, mechanical engineering, or industrial controls, with a B.S. in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Practical assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting skills using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Understanding of electronics fundamentals and communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Basic Python or Bash scripting, comfort with a Linux-heavy development environment, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must work onsite in San Jose five days per week and meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HITL testbeds, test laboratories, or lab automation.
  • Harness design and assembly, electrical CAD such as Altium, or mechanical CAD such as SolidWorks.
  • PCBA assembly and rework experience.
  • Industrial automation, rack-based electronics and networking, or aerospace and other high-reliability industry experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with equity compensation.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus short- and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation for new employees, 12 paid holidays, unlimited sick time, and paid parental leave.
  • Equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation support for applicants and interviews.
