TL;DR
Electronics Test Engineer (Python/Rust/C++): Building integrated electrical and RF test systems, automation software, and hardware-in-the-loop simulators for scalable satellite ground-station production with an accent on test architecture, instrumentation, and HW/SW integration. Focus on designing reusable test racks and drivers, supporting environmental qualification testing, and root-causing complex electronics issues.

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements under ITAR, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $84,000–$119,000 per year, plus equity and potential performance bonuses.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and Rust, with comfort working in Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with power supplies, DC loads, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Experience or ability to work across hardware and software, including firmware bring-up, I2C/SPI/UART interfaces, fault injection, and telemetry capture.
  • Must satisfy U.S. ITAR export-control eligibility requirements.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience troubleshooting mixed-signal, digital, or RF-adjacent integrated electronics.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 vibration, shock, and thermal testing methods.
  • Experience designing and scaling PXI, USB/LXI, or custom-interface test racks and ATE systems into production.
  • Experience developing hardware abstraction layers, driver libraries, and test-sequencing frameworks.

Culture & Benefits

  • Equity through company stock options and comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Flexible spending accounts, flexible time off, and 10 or more paid holidays annually.
  • Retirement savings plans and professional development opportunities.
  • Work focused on deploying communications systems for real-world satellite missions.
