Director, Commercial Finance (Retail)

Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite

What you will do

• Partner with Retail, Wholesale, Digital, and Store Development teams on strategic financial decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning for commercial P&L, OpEx, and CapEx.
• Build financial models for scenario analysis, new initiatives, channel launches, and expansion planning.
• Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Model new store openings, including CapEx, lease economics, ramp-to-maturity assumptions, and four-wall P&L.
• Improve forecasting, planning tools, automation, and FP&A platform implementations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Expertise in financial modeling, multi-channel P&L management, and retail or consumer business economics.
• Experience partnering strategically with commercial or go-to-market functions.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex data as actionable insights for executives.
• Proficiency with Planful, Anaplan, or equivalent FP&A platforms and advanced Excel modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in DTC, fashion, apparel, or consumer goods.
• Familiarity with retail real estate economics, store-level four-wall P&L modeling, and NSO investment analysis.
• Exposure to wholesale economics and hybrid retail/DTC business models.
• MBA.
