PRN Medical Assistant (Primary Care)

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health data, take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections and immunizations, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications under provider direction and written orders.
• Perform reception and care coordination duties, including scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, and specialist visits.
• Document accurate patient data, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Conduct patient outreach and work with the care team to identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
