Salary: USD 61–79.67 per hour

What you will do

  • Provide outpatient medical oncology care for patients receiving chemotherapy.
  • Conduct follow-up visits, toxicity assessments, health histories, and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage health problems, prescribe or order medications and therapies, and order or interpret tests and procedures within clinical privileges.
  • Educate patients, families, staff, and students on advanced practice and oncology care.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, committees, and continuing education programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
  • Current Illinois licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant is required.
  • APRN candidates must hold national certification approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board.
  • Credentialing and privileging through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office is required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain a controlled substance license and DEA number once licensed.
