TL;DR
Chemical Operator V, Lead (1st Shift) (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Leading hands-on chemical manufacturing operations in the Fill Hallway while supporting safe production, operator training, and process-floor oversight with an accent on process equipment, PLCs, quality, and delivery. Focus on troubleshooting non-routine equipment problems, coordinating Lean initiatives, running experiments with Engineering, and filling in for the Production Supervisor.

Location: Austin, Texas; site in Burnet, Texas. Onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Lead hands-on process operations in the Fill Hallway and support safe, efficient production-floor activities.
  • Coordinate daily with the Production Supervisor on goals, initiatives, production, and personnel updates.
  • Support operator training and oversight while filling in for the Supervisor during absences.
  • Ensure production schedules meet quality and delivery targets.
  • Lead daily TDM and other Lean initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment, run experiments with Engineering, update preventive-maintenance procedures, and maintain spare parts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or a related field is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience and previous chemical-handling experience.
  • Knowledge of operating PLCs, valves, and pressure regulators.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, inventory management, SAP or similar systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, leadership, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 130 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience in chemical, gas, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Distillation experience.
  • Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another relevant field.
