Chemical Process Technician/Operator

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States; onsite work with 8- or 12-hour day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Operate automatic and manual process equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, mixers, agitators, pumps, valves, distillation columns, steam systems, and delivery equipment.
• Run chemical batch manufacturing processes and machinery used to produce roll-good materials.
• Perform product inspections, collect and analyze samples, and verify that products meet established requirements.
• Load, unload, transfer, and package chemicals and finished products while following safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot processes, make approved corrections, and support production schedules, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate in shift meetings, problem-solving sessions, training events, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate manufacturing machinery, mobile equipment such as forklifts, hand tools, and testing or metrology devices safely.
• Proficient computer skills, including accurate data entry into IT systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, numerical and analytical skills, and effective communication.
• Ability to work onsite in Newark, Delaware, on changing 8- or 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and short-notice schedule changes.

Nice to have

• Vocational school training or an associate degree.
• Experience with job rotations, process improvement, and manufacturing equipment troubleshooting.
