Project Engineering Manager (Electrical)

Location: Henrico, Virginia, USA; travel up to 20%

What you will do

• Coordinate project technical planning, design, and execution.
• Support sales tenders by verifying technical compliance with standards and regulations and preparing specification and technical submittals.
• Work with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to convert successful tenders into deliverable designs and review proposed solutions.
• Prepare project-specific design calculations and engineering documentation.
• Support manufacturing, production, build, assembly, testing, vendor calls, on-site delivery, and commissioning activities.
• Act as the technical point of contact for live projects and support root-cause analysis with the Quality team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience plus 1–2 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of single-line diagrams, protection devices, and electrical design principles.
• Working knowledge of UL standards for switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to interpret technical specifications accurately.
