Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC, USA; hybrid schedule with on-site work. National and international project travel of approximately 10% is required.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead electrical design efforts for large and small construction projects.
• Manage design schedules and coordinate design team members across multiple projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, reports, meeting minutes, and other construction documents.
• Work directly with architects, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct preliminary evaluations and review designs for compliance with applicable codes, company standards, and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration and US citizenship required.
• At least 8 years of electrical design experience; the qualifications section specifies 10 years.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, building codes, NFPA codes, and energy codes.
• Ability to work collaboratively, balance multiple projects, and use Microsoft Office.
