Electrical Engineer — Signal Distribution & Controls Packaging

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Own electrical architecture and implementation for assigned subsystems, translating system and control requirements into safe, compliant designs.
• Design signal distribution, grounding, shielding, fault protection, low-voltage power distribution, and electrical safety systems.
• Lead the design of control panels, cabinets, electrical packaging, cable and harness architectures, routing strategies, and interfaces.
• Create and maintain electrical P&IDs, interface diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, ICDs, BOMs, and other build-ready documentation.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with Controls, Mechanical, Safety, and Operations teams and support design reviews, hazard analyses, integration, commissioning, and bring-up.
• Lead electrical failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated ownership of electrical system design for complex hardware systems.
• Strong experience with power distribution, protection, grounding, electrical safety, control panels, cabinets, and electrical packaging.
• Experience creating and maintaining electrical P&IDs, process diagrams, or electrical interface diagrams for complex systems.
• Ability to produce clear, build-ready electrical documentation and familiarity with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, ABB, or Beckhoff equipment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee lawfully admitted into the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience using P&IDs in safety reviews, commissioning, or operational documentation.
• Hands-on harness and cable design experience.
• Experience with system integration, commissioning, and failure analysis.
• Experience collaborating closely with Controls, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering teams.
