Senior Data Scientist (FinTech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work with four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near a hirify.global office. A fully remote program is also available depending on location.

Salary: $133,000–$185,000 base annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Growth Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Operations to shape product strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Design, run, and analyze A/B tests, including metric creation, power analysis, and experiment evaluation.
• Build funnel, engagement, retention, product health, and business metrics, dashboards, and self-service analytics tools.
• Apply causal inference, forecasting, time-series analysis, and machine learning to product and business questions.
• Establish high-quality event tracking for user behavior across the mobile app journey.
• Develop dbt data pipelines and communicate analytical findings through executive-ready narratives.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant hands-on experience in product or business analytics.
• Expert-level SQL and proficiency in Python.
• Strong knowledge of applied statistics, experimental design, and A/B test analysis.
• Experience with machine learning for applied business use cases and with advising senior cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong data storytelling and visualization skills, including experience with Hex and Looker.
• Familiarity with dbt or Airflow and AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.

Nice to have

• FinTech experience.
• Experience with prioritization frameworks such as RICE or the Eisenhower matrix.
