What you will do

• Lead data acquisition, formatting, documentation, privacy compliance, and onboarding of datasets from production systems or third-party vendors.
• Mentor others in data cleaning and analysis, identify dataset gaps, and resolve data integrity issues with relevant teams.
• Use data modeling, AI/ML tools, programming languages, and query languages to build models, run experiments, analyze results, and improve methodologies.
• Drive model validation, implementation, deployment, monitoring, scalability, maintenance, integration, and operational stability.
• Develop data-driven strategies, project plans, and measurable improvements in business performance while partnering with stakeholders and customers.
• Communicate complex statistics and machine learning topics, write maintainable code, and contribute to code and model reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5+ years of data science or related experience; or a master’s degree plus 3+ years; or a doctorate plus 1+ year; equivalent experience is also accepted.

Nice to have

• Technical understanding of regression, classification, time-series analysis, experimental design, and causal inference.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with experience in SQL, KQL, Spark, and Airflow.
• Ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders through storytelling and visualization using tools such as Jupyter notebooks, Azure Data Explorer, or Power BI dashboards.
