Accounts Payable Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires eligibility under U.S. export control regulations as a U.S. person or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Salary: $105,000–$145,000 USD per year, California pay range.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice intake, matching, GL coding, approvals, payments, reconciliations, and aging management.
• Execute ACH payments, domestic and international wire transfers, and checks with accurate banking and supporting-document verification.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and documentation to resolve discrepancies and maintain policy compliance.
• Maintain the accounts payable ledger and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and collaborate with external financial statement auditors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team while partnering with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounts payable best practices, and internal controls.
• Experience processing domestic and international wire transfers accurately.
• Experience supporting external financial statement audits and preparing audit-ready documentation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Beach and willingness to work evenings and/or weekends during critical business periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Ramp, and intermediate Excel.
• Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Certified Public Accountant certification.
