Accounts Payable Manager

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California, United States. Relocation support may be provided in certain situations. U.S. work authorization or eligibility to obtain the required ITAR authorizations is required.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team while managing workload across a high volume of invoices.
• Own the end-to-end AP process across multiple entities, cost centers, departments, and locations, including invoice intake, matching, approvals, payments, vendor onboarding, cards, and reimbursements.
• Design, document, standardize, and centralize AP policies, workflows, coding guidance, approval thresholds, and segregation-of-duties controls.
• Own and optimize NetSuite and Ramp configuration, integrations, automation, and data integrity.
• Manage vendor data and documentation, including W-9 collection and 1099 reporting.
• Lead month-end close activities, reconciliations, payment scheduling, escalations, metrics, and process-improvement reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2–3+ years managing or leading an AP team or function.
• Experience owning full-cycle AP in a high-volume or multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of two-way and three-way matching, non-PO invoice coding, credit cards, reimbursements, vendor onboarding, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and month-end close.
• Experience building and documenting AP processes, policies, and internal controls in a scaling or changing environment.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables, with the ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
• Must satisfy U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on NetSuite and Ramp administration or optimization experience.
• 1099 reporting and international AP experience, including VAT and foreign exchange.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another asset- and inventory-heavy industry.
