Sr HR Reporting & Analytics Manager (Workday)

Location: Santa Ana, California or Jersey City, New Jersey; remote or hybrid candidates may be considered. Candidates within a one-hour commute of an office are required to work onsite most of the time. U.S. work authorization is required.

Salary: $140,000–$225,000 per year, with potential eligibility for additional compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise HR reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix and Advanced Reports, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and scheduling.
• Translate complex workforce data into concise, actionable reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive, regulatory, and operational audiences.
• Manage reporting requests, prioritize requirements, and partner with HR, Finance, Operations, HRIS, IT, and external consultants.
• Establish data governance, maintain the HR data dictionary, audit reporting accuracy, and resolve data-quality issues.
• Maintain report security and appropriate access across Workday security domains and sensitive workforce data.
• Develop AI-informed reporting workflows, expand Lightdash usage, evaluate people-analytics platforms, and manage implementation and upgrade testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field; Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in HR analytics, workforce reporting, or HRIS, including at least 5 years of hands-on Workday report-writing experience.
• Expert proficiency with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Composite, Matrix and Advanced Reports, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, scheduling, and data-source configuration.
• Working knowledge of Workday HCM modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Time & Absence, and Payroll.
• Experience with Workday security domains, sensitive workforce data, data governance, project management, and global multi-country environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lightdash, Tableau, or a comparable BI and dashboard platform.
• Experience using AI-augmented analytics workflows or LLM tools such as Claude.
• Experience with Adaptive Insights or Workday Adaptive Planning, government compliance reporting, or pay equity reporting.
• Workday HCM or Reporting certification.
