Technician - Welding and Assembly - Contract (Fusion Energy)

What you will do

• Assemble electromechanical components using work instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform structural and tooling welding using GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, TIG, and other manual welding methods.
• Complete precision soldering, wiring, epoxy potting, injection molding, and vacuum-system work.
• Operate production, testing, and high-powered magnet equipment and use calibrated measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues, perform measurements and inspections, and suggest process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers on manufacturability, weld geometries, material choices, and assembly processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in electromechanical or electrical/mechanical assembly.
• 3+ years of welding experience with structural systems and tooling.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Documented training or certifications in welding processes such as GMAW, GTAW, or SMAW.
• Ability to work on-site in Devens, Massachusetts, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and work occasional nights, weekends, travel, or on-call shifts.
