Semiconductor Field Applications Engineer (Hsinchu TW)

Location: Remote from Taiwan only; home office available in Hsinchu with frequent domestic travel required.

What you will do

• Collaborate directly with customers to understand processes, technical challenges, and application goals.
• Develop and refine applications through in-house laboratory testing, on-site experiments, workflow optimization, and tailored solutions.
• Drive customer projects by aligning customer requirements with internal objectives and delivering project milestones.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, analyze data, and improve tool performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.
• Document findings, create training materials, and share best practices with customers and internal teams.
• Present technical concepts clearly to customers and internal stakeholders; travel frequently within Taiwan.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with analytical methods for nanoparticles and surfaces.
• Background in semiconductor-grade material testing, contamination control, or application development in R&D or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing, troubleshooting, or optimizing advanced analytical tools in high-tech settings.
• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and fluency in Mandarin are essential; knowledge of Taiwan’s semiconductor manufacturing standards and facilities is required.
