Principal Technician - Facilities Engineering (Semiconductor)

Location: Essex Junction, Vermont, United States; fully on site. First shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with rotating holiday and weekend coverage.

Salary: $58,400–$100,800 per year.

What you will do

• Lead teams across four shifts in safe, compliant, and efficient chemical handling operations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chemical supply, blending, deionized water, reverse osmosis, filtration, and related facility systems.
• Troubleshoot system alarms and controls and perform mechanical field work on filters, resin vessels, UV lights, pumps, valves, tanks, tubing, and piping.
• Coordinate improvement projects focused on safety, operational continuity, and organizational capability.
• Provide technical leadership for distribution equipment used in manufacturing areas.
• Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and collaborate across teams.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• At least 7–8 years of experience in a related or mechanical field.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required.
• Availability for weekend coverage and a fully onsite schedule is required.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift 30 lb, wear a respirator and cleanroom PPE, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• 8+ years of experience or education in facilities systems, including water treatment, HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, chemical distribution, and control systems.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and solution-execution skills.
