Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Ensure the availability, reliability, maintenance, and safe operation of oil-free air, HVAC, chilled water, boiler, environmental abatement, and compliance exhaust systems.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide engineering recommendations and solutions.
• Develop scopes of work, conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, testing, and prototype fabrication oversight.
• Partner with business units, operations teams, and maintenance service providers to deliver compliant and effective facility solutions.
• Develop mechanical systems roadmaps and asset replacement strategies for future expansion, renovation, reliability, redundancy, and capacity.
• Commission new or modified mechanical systems and support strategic projects focused on automation, cost savings, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of facilities engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with large-scale manufacturing or mechanical facility services support.
• Experience with oil-free air, HVAC, chilled water, boilers, environmental abatement, or compliance exhaust systems.
• Experience identifying, analyzing, and solving immediate issues with technical equipment.
• Experience with mechanical systems including pumps, piping, and valves, as well as instrumentation and process control systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

• Experience in project management, infrastructure mapping, or semiconductor facilities operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and collaborating with global teams.
